Over the next few months I worked with David & Susan to help them book the perfect vendors, secure flowers, find a breath-taking ceremony venue and pull together all of their details for their special day. The groom decided that he was going to wear a kilt and the bride a deep red gorgeous wedding gown, how cool is that! Slowly but surely all the months of planning fell into place and before we knew it their big day was here.
On the morning of their Big Day, I got to the florist early to pick up the flowers and headed down to 3660 on the Rise where we had a special private room and balcony reserved for David and Susan. The morning was spent turning a pretty basic room into a romantic and intimate dinner setting with flowers everywhere, candles and twinkly lights. After that I headed over to the hotel to check in on the bride and groom and vendors.
As Janice and Frank (the videographer and photographer) captured the getting ready shots, rings, jewelry, dress, invitations (yes, they even had invitations & table numbers made for their special day! awesome right!) and other little details while I took care of a few last minute calls and tasks. Meanwhile Leslie Fair did an amazing job turing Susan into one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen! I loved how the bride and groom were so playful and fun the entire time, the groom dancing around the room loving every minute of this special day!
Before we knew it, the time was here and we headed out to the ceremony spot for the Big Event. Susan and David headed down to the lobby shortly after to take a limo.
A gorgeous day, breathtaking cliffs on a turquoise clear ocean, this day was just perfect! As Kahu Bruce led a Hawaiian chant and a very intimate ceremony, Frank, Janice and I saw a dolphin, whale and sea turtle pop up right behind them in the middle of the ceremony. Talk about a special and very rare moment! I think they must have came especially for Susan & David as a special Hawaiian Blessing!
The evening commenced at 3660 on the Rise where the bride and groom were wow’d with a one of a kind cake made to look like a stack of old books with their wedding date engraved into the sides. This cake was so amazing the videographers didn’t believe it was real! We Heart Cake did an AMAZING job! Seriously, this was the coolest cake I’ve ever seen!
The couple ate cake and shared it with us vendors, their special guests, and danced around the room in a Waltz (I think it was a Waltz?) laughing and kissing and having a grand time, enjoying every second of their first dance. We all feel in love with David and Susan and it was truly an honor to be a part of such a lovely couples “Best Day Ever!”
We wish you both the best of luck and a life filled with laughter, happiness, joy and tons of wonderfully amazing blessings! Thank you for trusting us with your special day!
And now for the best part, the pictures! >>>>
